RAINBOW CITY
Have you wondered what AOL has been up to these days? This is one of their recent projects. Rainbow City is an interactive exhibit that sits at the base of the second completed phase of the High Line. From a marketing perspective, it's a smart way to connect with New Yorkers, aligning themselves with one of the best public spaces in the city. We took my daughter there this afternoon and she loved it. I also got to see the second section of the High Line for the first time. It's great to see the extension of the former elevated railroad track. But I think the first section is far more impressive because of its seating areas, the zen-inspired water ground section, and the way it dramatically hugs adjacent buildings. The second section didn't really add anything new, except there's the added benefit of having a longer stroll.
