I stumbled upon a nice exhibit this morning on my way to picking up our daughter from a pre-school class. Up a block from the Whitney is a two floor gallery space currently housing several Picassos, Rothkos, Legers, and a couple of gems from Miro, one of my favorite artists. If you're museum-hopping in the Upper Eastside, the Helly Nahmad Gallery is a nice transition and stop from the traditional MET exhibits to the more progressive Whitney shows.
