MURAL, MURAL ON THE WALL

This morning I looked out my window and saw the beginnings of a mural appear on a wall of the elementary school next door. I regret not shooting a time lapse of the project. And by the time we returned to the apartment in the afternoon, most of the work was already complete.

Watching the creative process was just as intriguing as viewing the final product, if not more so. That's one of the things about the city that makes it so amazing to me. Every day, every hour, there's always something being created here—a piece of art, a documentary, a skyscraper. Something that makes you stop, look and imagine. And while I may not always love the final result, there's something very addicting about watching it come together.

I'm sure the kids at this school will love this mural. Though, in my opinion, they missed the best part.
