Today a coworker asked me what it's like living in a studio with my wife. Having survived New York City for ten years as a single, I got accustomed to living in cramped spaces. But just prior to moving in with my wife in 2007, I wasn't sure how it would work out sharing a studio with someone - with absolutely nowhere to hide except the bathroom. To my surprise, it's been good. Being a natural introvert, I thought it would be hard not having my own space, but Carol and I are able to either enjoy each other's company or zone out and do our own thing, even if we're only two feet apart. I consider it a huge blessing from God. I've also noticed that studios are great mediums for conflict resolution. If you have a problem with someone or someone has a problem with you, it tends to get addressed rather swiftly.
