TRAIN OF THOUGHT
Today I took Amtrak from Manhattan's Penn Station to Philadelphia's 30th Street Station. Not a long journey by any stretch, but long enough to enjoy the benefits of train riding. It's my preferred method of transportation whenever I go to Philly for work, which ends up being somewhere between 3-5 times a year. Trains are sort of a throwback to another era. There's something almost romantic about them. Staring out those huge windows is like watching America unfold on your own giant LCD screen. Old factories. Bowling alleys. Row houses. Car dealerships. Little League fields. The stuff in between Point A and Point B. New York City's subway system also has points of interest in between stops. They're called passengers.
