Got my ticket for Interpol's November 5th show at the United Palace Theater in Washington Heights. UPT is a former church. I've never been to a show there, but the venue looks spectacular. I think Interpol's presence and sound will do well there. The band recently came up in conversation with my friend David. David is a musician and a knowledgeable listener with over 100 GB of stored music. So I respect his opinion. We agreed that there were really only three relevant bands that currently epitomize New York City: Interpol, The Strokes, and The National. Coincidentally three bands that I like a lot. I haven't been to a show in years. So I'm especially looking forward to this one. Interpol will rock the stage where choirs once swayed.
