As most people have heard by now, St. Vincent's Hospital, a true New York institution, is closing down. St. Vincent's delivered its last baby yesterday. While the mother was giving birth, nurses were saying goodbye to each other. St. Vincent's has been delivering babies for over 160 years. It also helped countless people recover from various events like the Titanic and 9/11. Part of the hospital's mission was providing care for the poor and disenfranchised. St. Vincent's, thank you standing by New York City's side. If only we could've kept doing the same for you.
