BOO AT THE ZOO

These days, there's another reason to visit the Bronx Zoo besides the animals. Free candy. They were handing it out generously today - 23 days before Halloween. There were Sour Patch Kids, Swedish Fish, peanut butter cups, fruit snacks, Toblerones, and M&Ms. The Zoo created a fun Halloween atmosphere with pumpkin displays, kids dressed in costumes, and even a costume parade. They're calling it "Boo at the Zoo." Halloween seems pretty far away to be celebrating this soon. But hey, I'm not complaining about the free candy.

One of the best things the Bronx Zoo has going for it all year round is its membership package. For something like $95, we got a 1-year membership plan that allows my wife, daughter and I unlimited free admission and free show access to the Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, Queens Zoo, and the Aquarium at Coney Island. I strongly recommend the package for any family that lives near at least one of these zoos.
