THE NEW AND THE OLD

I finally made it out to the new Yankee Stadium thanks to a pair of free tickets from a friend. The ballpark really is something. They did a great job maintaining an open feel throughout the stadium. But amid the new digs and sea of new food vendors, I was reminded of the innate love we have for the old. We respect and admire much about history. It's why the line tonight for the in-stadium Yankee museum was significantly longer than the wait at the new Brother Jimmy's stands. It's why dozens of fans still wear Munson and Mattingly jerseys. New is nice. But old is still relevant.
